Review and content policy

1. Genuine experiences only

Reviews must describe a genuine, first-hand wedding, site visit, proposal or material planning interaction. Reviewers must disclose material personal, employment or commercial relationships. Properties, employees, competitors and agencies must not pose as customers.

2. Verified wedding label

A “Verified wedding” label means Wedding Riwaaz reviewed evidence reasonably indicating that the wedding or contracted celebration took place. It does not verify every statement, rating, payment issue or allegation in the review and is not an endorsement of either party.

3. Content standards

Content must be relevant, specific and lawful. We may reject or remove content that includes threats, hate, harassment, unlawful discrimination, explicit material, personal contact or payment data, confidential documents, impersonation, spam, manipulated media, unsupported criminal allegations or infringement of privacy or intellectual property.

Negative reviews are not removed merely because they are negative. Positive reviews are not favoured because a property pays for subscription or sponsorship.

4. No review manipulation

Do not buy, sell, incentivise, exchange, duplicate, suppress or coordinate reviews or use multiple accounts to alter ratings. We may use automated and manual signals to identify abuse and may suspend related accounts or adjust displayed aggregates.

5. Evidence and privacy

For a disputed or high-risk review, we may privately request contracts, invoices, correspondence or other proportionate evidence. Evidence is used for moderation and legal compliance and is not routinely shared with the property without permission, except where disclosure is required by law or necessary for a fair process with personal data appropriately minimised.

6. Property responses and testimonials

A property may submit one professional response addressing the review without exposing private information or retaliating. Property-supplied testimonials and promotional statements are labelled separately and are not counted or presented as independent customer reviews.

7. Photographs, video and menu documents

Uploaders must hold all necessary rights and permissions. Past-wedding media may require permission from the property, couple, photographer and identifiable individuals. Menu files and property media appear only after the applicable approval and rights records are present. We may remove content if rights expire or are disputed.

8. Moderation and disputes

We may screen, delay, label, restrict or remove content to enforce this policy, protect safety or comply with law. We are not a court or arbitrator and do not decide contractual liability or payment disputes. A property or reviewer may submit a reasoned report through the Contact page, identifying the content and supporting basis. We may preserve evidence and audit records while reviewing the report.

9. Licence and responsibility

The uploader retains ownership and grants the limited licence described in the applicable Terms. The uploader remains legally responsible for the content and will cooperate with rights, safety and lawful-removal requests.
